I have been in the Kemptville area a lot it seems lately, I have family there, and my Business Manager, a native,  is constantly talking about how great the area is for her and her family.  This town, nestled just outside the Ottawa area, has so much to offer homebuyers!  Family friendly subdivisions with well thought out planning, community parks and award winning schools, plus a small taste of big box stores, and it is growing all the time!
Kemptville is such a unique town, and definitely worth a look if you are considering moving outside the city – it is a short commute stright down the 416 and takes about 20 minutes from the 417 to get there.  The commute is generally quick, no bumper to bumper!
Kemptville does offer many wonderful options as far as new builds, with new condos being built right now in the town, and award winning builders developing new and opening new phases of existing subdivisions. Lots are generally large and provide lots of room for growing families. 
There are many quality schools to chooose from at all levels, most offering french immersion, with Kemptville boasting the top high school in Ontario at the moment. The Kemptville Campus of the University of Guelph is also located in the town, providing many options for the surrounding neighbourhoods.
Fine dining, delicious pizza,  traditional fish and chips, live entertainment and open mic nights at the village pub are all available throughout the year  – definitely worth the drive!  There is a brand new library opening this summer in the heart of downtown, a double ice pad and community theatre with movie nights in the municipal centre, new soccer fields and a skateboard park. So much for families to do, not to mention being on the banks of the Rideau, and having access to kilometres of walking trails throughout the Ferguson Forestry Station.
The recent renovations and  addition of a new emergency room at the Kemptville Hospital, along with a new fire station making sure that health and safety are not compromised  for the residents of North Grenville.
With the nice weather here (to stay I hope) take a drive out to Kemptville and stay a while – you will be surprised what is hiding just off the beaten path!
